Worth is located in north central Texas. The city is famous
for art, artists, artisans and two first class universities.
Together with Dallas, its neighbor to the east, it is the
seventh largest media market in the United States.
Texas Wesleyan's Mass Communication Department has developed
an integrated approach toward the processes of communicating
to very large groups that are spread over large geographic
areas.
The degree is a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication.
The study is a focus on one of three areas — Journalism,
Advertising-Public Relations, and Radio-Television —
with a variety of media elective courses.
Mass Communication is so widely applicable and such a diverse
career path that it is desireable to be comfortable with more
than just the area of choice.
