David is a born Texan, an accomplished paramedic instructor, and a frequent linguistic challenger of New York Times crossword puzzles. 

At the 2003, 2004, and 2005 Texas Senior Games, he won 1^st place in singles and doubles in his respective age divisions.  Recently he won Class B singles in the Arkansas Open in Little Rock.
